Bring the Guidebook Experience to Your Team / Strategic planning

Strategic planning

A plan holds up better when the people it affects help write it. For schools, public agencies, nonprofits, and networks, we bring those people together, look at what is happening on the ground, and leave you with a 1-3-6 month action plan your leadership can adopt.

How it runs

1. Intro call

We talk through your plan, your timeline, and who needs to be in the room. You get a written scope and cost.

Book a call
2. Participant-led site visit and data gathering

The people closest to the work show us around, tell us what they see, and sit down with leadership. In a school, that means youth lead the tour and join a roundtable with adults. Everyone records what they see and hear on a shared data gathering tool.

3. Real to Ideal

We start with what is real. Using the Compassionate Witnessing protocol, people share what they have seen and lived while others listen. Then the group names where it wants to be.

4. 1-3-6 month action plan

The team plans backward and decides what happens in one, three, and six months, and who is responsible. We send you a written summary that carries into a strategic plan, board plan, school improvement plan, or LCAP.
